Scandinavia trip was fun

Just got back from the Scandinavia Scenic Tours trip. It was pretty cool! Everything was set up, so I didn't have to worry about flights or hotels, which was a huge plus for me. The guides were friendly, and we saw some amazing stuff. Wish there was a bit more free time in some cities, but I still had a blast.

Good package, slow support

I booked the Italy Food and Wine Tours package for last spring. The overall trip itself was really well put together, the hotels were nice and the included excursions were great value. Flights were also well-timed. My main issue was with customer service; I had a question about an optional add-on before I traveled and it took almost a week to get a clear answer. It didn't ruin the trip, but it was a bit frustrating waiting. The price was competitive for everything included.

Nile River Cruise experience

I recently went on the Nile River Cruise with Exoticca and had a mostly positive experience. Booking online was straightforward; I picked my dates and paid for the Egypt Pyramids Tours package. I received my confirmation email and itinerary quickly. About a month before departure, I contacted support regarding dietary restrictions for one of the meals on the cruise. They responded within two days and confirmed it was handled. The flights, transfers, and hotels were all seamless. The tour guides were very knowledgeable, especially at the ancient sites. My only minor gripe was that one of the hotels had a pool that was unexpectedly closed for maintenance. It would have been good to know beforehand. Overall, the value for money was excellent given everything that was included.

Okay for a quick trip

Booked a quick Bali Wellness Retreat. Flights and hotel were fine. No real problems. It worked out for what I needed.

Is there a specific box for promo codes during checkout? I have one from a referral but don't want to miss where to put it.

L Luke L. 3 days ago
Yeah, it's usually at the very end when you're doing the final payment step. There should be a field for 'promo code' or 'discount code'.

Last step of checkout, before you finalize payment. Can't miss it.

Can you actually customize the itineraries much? Like, if I wanted to skip one day's activity or stay an extra night in a city?

S Sam Hall 5 days ago
From what I remember when I booked, you can't really change the core itinerary. It's pretty much set packages. You might be able to add stuff on at the beginning or end though, like extra hotel nights.

Nah, not really. They're all-inclusive packages so it's kinda 'take it or leave it' for the daily schedule. If you want a super custom trip, this probably isn't the best fit.

Thinking about a solo trip to Japan with them. Has anyone gone solo with Exoticca? Is it pretty safe/comfortable?

S Sandra 3 weeks ago
I went to Thailand solo with them and it was totally fine. You're with a group for most of the activities so you're not really alone much, and the guides are good. Felt very safe.

Yeah, I think they cater to solo travelers pretty well. You get your own room, but you're still part of the group for tours and stuff. It's not like you're completely isolated.

Hey, wondering if Exoticca is legit? The prices seem almost too good to be true for some of those packages.

S Sandra E. 6 days ago
Yeah, I booked a trip to Vietnam with them last year and everything was totally fine. Flights, hotels, tours, all went smoothly. It's a real company.

They're legit. I think they get good deals because they buy everything in bulk, like wholesale travel stuff. Plus, a lot of their sales are flash sales so you gotta jump on them.

I'm looking at a South America trip, but I'm a bit nervous about paying everything upfront. Do they have any kind of payment plan or installment options?

K Kyle Taylor 3 weeks ago
They definitely do. I paid for my Egypt trip in installments over a few months. I think there's usually a deposit and then you can spread out the rest of the payments until closer to the departure date.

Yeah, you don't have to pay it all at once usually. Check their payment section, you can set up a plan to pay it off in chunks. Makes it way easier.
